Answer:

Each student got 5 problems except for one who got 7

Explanation:

1) let x be the amount of problems

2) equation: 5x+2=27. 5x because each student got the same amount of problems assigned by the teacher. +2 because some unlucky kid got an extra 2

3) simplify.

5x+2=27

-2 -2

5x=25

Answer: x=5
