Solve for t; 1/11=cos((2π/3)t)

Method

Take the inverse Cos of both sides. That will give you the angle on the left.

From there you can solve for t

cos-1(1/11) = cos-1 cos ((2pi/3)t)

1.4798 = 2*pi*t/3 Multiply both sides by 3/2

1.4798 * 3/2 = (2pi*t/3)*3/2

2.2196 = 2*pi*t Divide both sides by 2*pi

2.2196 / (2*pi) = t

t = .3534

This was done by setting my calculator to radians. 1.4798 is a radian measure.
