we can plug the different values of
x into above equations and get the corresponding values of
y_(1) and
y_(2)

We need to check that the solution
(2,-1)=(x,y) corresponds to which table given in the image below.

We can plug the value of
x=2 into the equations and get the answer.


y_(1) =4(2)-9=8-9=-1\\y_(2) =2(2)-5=4-5=-1\\
