Between 11PM and 8.45 PM there is
9 hrs 45 mins = 9 + (45/60)
= 9 + 0.75
= 9.75 hrs
If 9.75 hrs = 3/8
Then 1 hr = 1 x (3/8)/9.75
= 1/26
Hence the water dropped by 1/26 each hour
