Answer:

The distance cover by Javier in 3 hours is 4.5 miles

Explanation:

Given as :

The distance cover by Javier in
(2)/(3) hour = 1 mile

Let The distance cover by Javier in 3 hours = x miles

Applying unitary method, we get

∵ In
(2)/(3) hour , distance cover by Javier = 1 mile

So, In 1 hour , distance cover by Javier =
(1)/((2)/(3)) mile =
(3)/(2) mile

Or, In 1 hour, distance cover by Javier = 1.5 miles

∴ In 3 hours , distance cover by Javier = 1.5 miles × 3

i.e x = 4.5 miles

So, The distance cover by Javier in 3 hours = x = 4.5 miles

Hence, The distance cover by Javier in 3 hours is 4.5 miles Answer
