The ratio of adults to children at a concert is expected to be 2 to 5. If 200 people attend, how many are expected to be children?

Here, Ratio of Adults: Children = 2: 5

Let us assume the common factor in the given ratio = m

So, the expected number of adults to attend the concert = 2 m

Also, the expected number of children to attend the concert = 5 m

Number of (Adults + Children) attending concert = 200

⇒ 2 m + 5 m = 200

or, 7 m = 200

or, m = 200 /7 = 28.57

or, m = 28.57

Now, the expected number of children to attend = 5 m
