Answer:

Part a)
40\ bottle\ caps

Part b)
3(3)/(19)\ popsicle\ sticks

Explanation:

we know that

The scale is
(2.4)/(1)\ (cm)/(ft)

That means

2.4 cm in the model represent 1 foot in the real

Part a) we know that

The restaurant is 20 feet tall

Find the height of the model

Multiply the actual height of the restaurant by the scale 2.4

20\ ft=20(2.4)=48\ cm

A bottle cap is 1.2 cm tall

To find out the number of bottle caps divide the height of the model by 1.2

(48)/(1.2)= 40\ bottle\ caps

Part b) we know that

A popsicle stick is 15.2 cm tall

To find out the number of popsicle sticks divide the height of the model by 15.2

(48)/(15.2)= (480)/(152)=(60)/(19)\ popsicle\ sticks

Convert to mixed number

(60)/(19)\ popsicle\ sticks=(57)/(19)+(3)/(19)=3(3)/(19)\ popsicle\ sticks
