Henry's uncle from Japan promised to give him 35 g of gold. The local jewelry exchange will buy gold for $1224 per ounce. How much money can Henry get for selling the gold? Use =1oz28g and do not round any computations.

$1530 is the correct answer.

First you divide 1224 by 28 to get 43.714

Then you do 35-28 which is 7 so you have seven extra.

Times the 7 by 43.714 to get $306

Therefore, $1224 + $306 = $1530.

P.S. I got the 1224^ from 28 out of the 35 (28+7=35)

Answer:

$1530

Explanation:

First of all, it is required to convert 35g of gold into ounce.

Since,

1 oz = 28 g

or, we can write,

1 g = (1)/(28) oz

Now, for 35 g of gold, we can write,

35 * 1 g = 35 * (1)/(28) oz\\35 g = 1.25 oz

Since, local jewelry will buy at $ 1224 per oz, and we have 1.25 oz of gold, so,

1.25 * 1244\\$1530
