Two line P and Q are parallel and Line R is the transverse one.

Now, as shown in the diagram angle 92° and ∠ 2 are corresponding angles and they are equal.

Hence, ∠ 2 = 92°.

Now, ∠ 2 and ∠ 1 are supplementary angles and ∠ 1 + ∠ 2 = 180°

⇒ ∠ 1 + 92° = 180°

∠ 1 = 180° - 92° = 88° (Answer)
