a cast member is selling balloons on main street. he has 4 princess balloon, 5 blue mickey balloons and 1 red mickey balloon. he sells 1 balloon and then another (no replacing). find the probability of selling one blue balloon followed by another blue balloon.

4 + 5 + 1 = 10

There are 10 possible outcomes.

We then see how many favorable outcomes there are.

There are 5 blue mickey balloons.

Then we subtract 1/10 from 5/10.

5/10 - 1/10 = 4/9

We lower the denominator by 1 because the total possible outcomes are also lowered by one.

The probability of the cast member selling another blue balloon after selling the first one is 4/9.
