You used to buy a 20 ounce soda with 220 calories. Now you buy the 1 liter soda with 400 calories. What is the percent of change in calories?

Explanation:

Because it is an INCREASE in calories from 220 to 400 then you would have a percent higher than 100%.

To find the percent increase you need to put the new calorie count over the old calories count to find how many times more 400 is than 220. 220/400=1.818181... Round off by the nearest hundredth to get the most accurate percent which will give you 1.82. Convert to percent and you get 182%.
