Differentiated cells are specific cells from specific tissues that have the ability to change into completely different and specific types of tissues. This phenomenon is referred to as Trans differentiation or cell differentiation.

One of the best examples of this phenomenon is the transformation of bone marrow derived stem cells into different types of pancreatic cells to treat different diseases and ailments.

Studies show that de-differentiated cells become modified into differentiated cells for multiple purposes such as tissue regeneration, repair, formation of new organs. This phenomenon occurs during the stage when the body of organism develops from a very small embryo e.g human embryo where it undergoes various cell divisions and differentiated cells become specialized to form differentiated cells or tissues with a specific function.
