"A photographer may take wide views and close-ups of the same scene. How are these views similar to the low-power and high-power lenses on a microscope?

Answer: you can take a far away view or zoom in just like a microscope. You have to stand in different areas in different positions and lean forward if you want a close-up view and walk backwards and further away for a wide view. A miscrope can be used the same way just by turning it or adjusting the lens and the view.
