M is the midpoint of AB. If the coordinates of A are (-1,5), and the coordinates of M are (3,3), what are the coordinates of B?

I need the answer asap!

Answer:

B = (5, 1).

Explanation:

From the formula for the midpoint of a line :-

(-1 + x)/2 , (5 + y)/2 = (6/2, 6/2) where x and y are the coordinates of B.

so (-1 + x)/2 = 6/2

-1 + x = 6

x = 5.

and (5 + y)/2 = 6/2

5 + y = 6

y = 1.
