The author argues that national identities have replaced traditional identities like religion. Is this true for you? What about for people you know, like grandparents or teachers? Do you see any new types of communities that people are identifying within our world today?

No

It's partially yes for educated or literates because new communities are nowadays formed in urban areas where people live above the religions.

But in most of the areas the people take their religious beliefs more than the nation (mostly for illeterates )

Answer:

There are many people affected by the newer modern ways of life. Since there are more people trying to keep up with the times and have a more contemporary lifestyle there are more and more people constantly letting go of their culture and heritage. There are new communities being created like urban areas where your culture is not the entire theme of the area.
