Answer:

Jose will pay 2 dollars less for the jacket than Evan.

Explanation:

Given:

Selling price of the jacket at the store (SP) = $40

Amount paid by Jose to buy the jacket is 0.7 of SP.

Discount coupon Even has = $10

Now, amount paid by Jose is 0.7 of SP. So, this equals:

P_(Jose)=0.7* 40=\$28

Amount paid by Even is equal to the total amount minus discount coupon.

Therefore, framing in equation we have:

P_(Evan)=40-10=\$30

Therefore, we observe that,
P_(Jose)<P_(Evan). Also,

P_(Evan)-P_(Jose)=30-28=\$2

Hence, Jose will pay 2 dollars less for the jacket than Evan.
