Explanation:

Step 1-

d+q=20

.1d+.25q=3.35

Step 2-

d=20 - q

Step 3-

.1 (20 - q)+ .25q =3.35

.1 (20)- .1q+ .25q =3.35

2- .1q+ .25q =3.35

2+ (.25- .1)q =3.35

2+ .15q =3.35

Step 4-

2-2+.15q =3.35 -2

.15q =1.35

Step 5-

.15q/.15 =1.35/.15

Q=9

And since there are 9 quarters and 20 coins in total, there has to be 11 dimes left. Hope this helps!
