"In your own words, explain what metaphysics and epistemology are, and then explain how they are different but in some ways related. Your answer should include a few examples of philosophical issues in metaphysics and epistemology. Your answer should be several sentences long; don't turn it into an entire essay, because you won't have time for that"

Step-by-step explanation:

Metaphysics has as its object of study everything beyond what it is physical, or in other words, what it is immaterial. Since Aristotle, Metaphysics cares about what it is the real thing concerning the"being" per se. The Existence of God, the validity for the foundation of scientific thought, these are the object for metaphysicians to study.

Epistemology deals with the nature of the acquired knowledge by mankind, what is cognoscible and what is not, the appropriate method of making science, etc. Some philosophers classify it as a division of the Metaphysics. For example, the Foundations of the Science can be either studied through an epistemic view discussing it through Descartes' Method to make science or via metaphysical viewpoint.
