Answer:

The answer is "Asian Americans."

Step-by-step explanation:

In the year 1880s, it became hard for Chinese people to enter into the USA. This was because of the "Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882" that was signed by President Chester. This banned the Chinese from entering into the country for 10 years.

When U.S. signed the "Burlingame Treaty" with China, the Chinese were once again welcomed to America. This encouraged many Chinese to immigrate to America and, thus, it led to the term "Asian Americans."

This incident was feared by the Americans for they were thinking that the Asian Americans would steal their jobs from them. It resulted to physical violence and discrimination. Chinese people were attacked, such as the incident in Los Angeles' Chinatown. This was called the "Chinese Massacre of 1871."

Thus, this explains the answer.
