Answer:

The HiSet (High School Equivalency Test) has five sections, one each for reading and writing, and it has a paper and a computer version. The GED (General Education Development) has four sections, it combines reading and writing into a single literacy test. and it is only possible to take it in the computer version. HiSET is accepted in approximately twenty states, while the GED is accepted in approximately 40 states.

These exams are used to award a high school equivalency diploma.
