Answer: Palindrome is a DNA segment which have inverted repeats of base sequence.

Explanation:

Palindromes are sequences of double stranded DNA wihich have two fold symmetry. The repeated DNA sequences in a palindrome are self-complementary within each strand and have the capacity of forming hairpin or cross-shaped structures.

In English language, palindrome is a word or phrase that is spelt identically either forward or backward
