Jonathan has to pay Faye back $ 240

Jonathan has 4 people in his bill

Faye has 6 people in his bill

Solution:

Faye pays her bill and also Jonathan bill

Let "x" be the bill amount of Jonathan

Faye's phone bill is $120.00 dollars more than Jonathan's

Faye phone bill = 120 + x

From given,

Total of the two bills = $ 600

jonathan bill + faye bill = 600

x + 120 + x = 600

2x = 600 - 120

2x = 480

x = 240

Jonathan has to pay Faye back $ 240

Faye bill amount = 120 + x = 120 + 240 = 360

Thus faye bill amount is $ 360

Let us find the number of people on jonathan bill and faye bill

From given,

Each person on bill cost $60.00 for each person

Jonathan bill amount = $ 240

Divide 240 by 60 to find the number of people

number\ of\ people = (240)/(60) = 4

Thus Jonathan has 4 people in his bill

Faye bill amount = $ 360

Divide 360 by 60 to find the number of people

number\ of\ people = (360)/(60) = 6

Thus Faye has 6 people in his bill
