Answer:

A)

y = (10)/(3)x

B) 240 pages

Explanation:

From the table, he can read 20 pages in 6 minutes and 15 paged in 50 minutes.

The unit rate can be found using

m = (change \: in \: y)/(change \: in \: x)

m = (50 - 20)/(15 - 6)

m = (30)/(9) = (10)/(3)

Using the point (6,20) and the unit rate we can find the equation using

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

y - 20 = (10)/(3)(x - 6)

y=(10)/(3)x - 20 + 20

y = (10)/(3)x

B) When x=72 minutes we substitute

y = (10)/(3) * 72

y = 10 * 24 = 240
