Can any one give me hint to this 3(n+4]=27(2n)

Answer:

n = 4/17

Explanation:

3(n + 4) = 27(2n)

distribute thru the parenthesis

3(n) + 3(4) = 27(2n) =

3n + 12 = 54n .....move the 3n across the = sign, and when u move a term across the equal sign to the other side, u change the sign

12 = 54n - 3n

combine like terms

12 = 51n

divide both sides by 51

12/51 = (51/51)n

12/51 = 1n or just 12/51 = n

reduce

4/17 = n <====

and u can check ur answer by subbing it back into the original equation to see if it is true.

3(4/17 + 4) = 27(2*4/17)

3(4/17 + 68/17) = 27(8/17)

3(72/17) = 216/17

216/17 = 216/17 (correct)...so it checks out
