The measure of angles are 64 degrees and 26 degrees

Solution:

Let "x" be one of the complement angle

Let "y" be the other angle

Complementary angles are two angles whose sum is 90 degrees

Therefore,

x + y = 90 ---------- eqn 1

The measure of the complement of an angle is 12 degrees more than twice the measure of the angle

measure of complement angle = 12 + twice the measure the measure of other angle

x = 12 + 2y ------------- eqn 2

Solve eqn 1 and eqn 2

Substitute eqn 2 in eqn 1

12 + 2y + y = 90

12 + 3y = 90

3y = 78

y = 26

Substitute y = 26 in eqn 2

x = 12 + 2(26)

x = 12 + 52

x = 64

Thus the measure of angles are 64 degrees and 26 degrees
