Explain factory conditions in the early 1800s

Working was more simple. Around this time factories were being built and and all the new businesses need workers. Employers could set wages as low as they wanted and people were in line to get a job and didn't care what they got paid. Workers worked 14-16 hours a day. Some places didn't always have the best working conditions at the time but the worked really hard to provided for them and their families. (Hope this was helpful) :)
