Answer:

The number of people vote for blue is 180.

Explanation:

Let there are x numbers of total people.

So,
(5)/(8) of total people vote for blue i.e.
(5x)/(8) people vote for blue.

Now, the remaining number of people are
(x - (5x)/(8)) = (3x)/(8).

If
(5)/(9) of the remaining people vote for green, then the number of people vote for green will be
((3x)/(8) * (5)/(9)) = (5x)/(24).

Therefore, finally the remaining number of people is
((3x)/(8) - (5x)/(24)) = (x)/(6) and they vote for red.

Now,
(x)/(6) = 48 {Given}

x = 288

And the number of people vote for blue is
(5x)/(8) = (5 * 288)/(8) = 180. (Answer)
