Directions: For each of the following cell misconceptions, write fact or evidence that disproves the claim.
1. Cells are smaller than atoms.
2. Plant cells only have chloroplasts, not mitochondria.
3. There are two kinds of cells: plant and animal.
4. All cells are the same size.
5. Animal cells only have a cell membrane while plant cells only have a cell wall.
6. Cells are flat like a pancake.
7. Prokaryotic cells don't have a nucleus or DNA.
8. All of the cells in one species of organism are the same size and shape.
9. Cells are within the human body, but do not make up the human body 10. The larger the organism, the larger the cell size.
