=> 4x²+10x

Area of smaller rectangle = (x+3)(x)

=> x²+3x

The area of shaded region = Area of larger rectangle - Area of smaller rectangle .

=> 4x²+10x - (x²+3x)

=> 4x²+10x -x²-3x

=> 3x²+7x
