I believe that in cooperative circumstances interracial contact between people of equal status will cause them to become less prejudiced and to abandon old stereotypes.

Answer:Gordon Allport's contact hypothesis

Step-by-step explanation:

According to contact hypothesis prejudice and conflict between people of different race or different groups can be reduced if people of those groups can interact more with each other.

Gordon Allport, says this depends on four things that need to be met first in order for prejudice to be reduced this way: equal status, cooperation, common goals and institutional support.

Equal status means everyone get the same treatment because when other groups are treated as superior this increases prejudice

Common goals - when people are working towards one thing they are likely to work cooperatively and this changes how they look at each other
