A rectangle has dimensions 3x − 1 and x + 6. Write an expression for the area of the rectangle as a polynomial in standard form.

Since standard form is ax^2+bx+c, you would FOIL (multiple first, outside, inside and last)
(3x-1)(x+6)
3x * x
-1 * x
3x * 6
-1 * 6

Which would all equal (after combing like terms)
3x^2 + 17x - 6
