Last year, the number of students enrolled in the school was 672. If this number increases by 12% the next year, how many students will there be?

What an amount is increased by a percent, add the percent change to 100. 100 + 12 = 112. Use the proportion to get blank/ = is/of to get 112/100 = x/672

PLZZZZZ!!!!!

Answer:

753 students

Explanation:

Last year number of students
=672

Increase in next year
=12\%

\left( x\%\ of\ an\ amount\ A =(x)/(100)* A \right)

12\% of
672=(12*672)/(100)=80.64

So total increase in next year
=80.64\approx81

Hence total number of students next year = number of students last year
+ increase

=672+81\\=753
