The window of a school bus need to be washed by the end of the day. Mr. Casey washes 1/3 of 33 windows before lunch . If Mr. Casey washes 8 of the remaining windows after lunch, How many windows still need to be washed by the end of the day

Total number of windows to be washed in total = 33

Number of windows Mr. Casey washes before lunch = 1/3 of 33

Now, 1/3 of 33 =
(1)/(3)  * 33  = 11

So, Mr. Casey washes 11 windows before lunch.

⇒The number of windows left to be washed AFTER lunch

= Total windows - Windows washed BEFORE lunch

= 33 - 11 = 22 windows

Hence, The number of windows left to be washed AFTER lunch = 22

Now, Mr Casey washes 8 windows after lunch

So, Number of windows left to be washed = Total windows to be washed after lunch - Number of windows washed

= 22 - 8 = 14

Hence,14 windows still need to be washed by the end of the day by Mr . Casey.
