Molecular biology is the area of biology that explains biological phenomena and events from a molecular point of view, with special interest in the central dogma, that is, the interactions between DNA, RNA and proteins, as well as the regulation of these interactions. In other words, it deals with the study of the processes of replication, transcription, translation and biosynthesis of these molecules and their implications and meanings applied in other branches of biology such as cell biology, histology, pathology, physiology, genetics, ecology, evolution. This is a broad field of study, which in addition to maintaining relations with the biological sciences described above, also maintains relations with the areas of chemistry, physics and informatics, in particular biochemistry and biophysics and bioinformatics.
