Answer:

I think you didn't complete asking your question- what were the given options?

Whatever options you were given, try dividing each by three. If you get a decimal after dividing, then that option is wrong.

An example of a right answer is 24:

24- 24/3= 8.

8 x 2= 16 girls

24-16 = 8 boys

24 can not be the total number of students in Mr. Castillo's class.

I'm assuming that your answer options are 20, 24, 25, and 30.

out of this set of numbers, 24 can not be divided by 5 (without getting a decimal)
