First distribute the -3 to x and 1 which will get you -3x+3 on the left side of the equation. Then re write the whole equation to y+2=-3x+3.

Answer:

3x + y = 1

Explanation:

y+2=-3(x-1)\\\\\text{It's a point-slope form of an equation of a line}.\\\\\text{The standard form is:}\ Ax+By=C.\\\\\text{Convert:}\\\\y+2=-3(x-1)\qquad\text{use the distributive property}:\ a(b+c)=ab+ac\\\\y+2=(-3)(x)+(-3)(-1)\\\\y+2=-3x+3\qquad\text{subtract 2 from both sides}\\\\y+2-2=-3x+3-2\\\\y=-3x+1\qquad\text{add}\ 3x\ \text{to both sides}\\\\y+3x=-3x+3x+1\\\\3x+y=1
