A marina has 16 docks. Each dock has room for the same number of boats. When 101 boats sail in, they fill all the docks with 5 boats leftover. How many boats are in each dock?

so, if you take 101 boats and subtract it by the leftover boats, (101-5=96) which means that only 96 boats are located in the docks. then, there are 16 docks so of you divide 96 boats into it (96:6=6), 6 boats are in each dock.
ANSWER: 6 boats
