Answer:

The value of x for which the expression is true is 36 .

Explanation:

Given as :

The linear expression is

6 × x = 216

Now, To make the expression true i.e left hand side equation = right hand side equation

So, LHS = 6 × x

And RHS = 216

i.e here must be some value of x so that LHS = 216

Now

∵ 6 × x = 216

∴ x =
(216)/(6)

Or x = 36

So, The vale of x must be equal to 36 , so that equation will be true

Prove

LHS = RHS

∵ , 6 × x = 216

Now, put x = 36

Or, 6 × 36 = 216

i.e 216 = 216

So, The equation is true

Hence, The value of x for which the expression is true is 36 . Answer
