Jan studied this system of equations: {2x + 4y = 6 and x - 2y = 6. He found that another system of equations had the

same solution: {4x + 8y = 12 and x-2y = 6. Without solving the systems of equations, how can Jan tell that they both have
the same solution?

Answer:

Because x-2y=6 is the same in both of them. 4x+8y=12 can be simplified to x-2y=6 if divided by 4
