I think it depends on what specification your doing as molar mass is the relative atomic mass numbers added on the periodic table and specifications vary in their periodic tables

Answer:

  1. Molar Mass of HCl = 37.466 g/mol
  2. Molar Mass of ZnF₂ = 103.386 g/mol
  3. Molar Mass of K₂CO₃ = 138.211 g/mol l
  4. Molar Mass of FePO₄ = 243.725 g/mol
  5. Molar Mass of Cu₂S = 159.157 g/mol

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  1. HCl
  2. ZnF₂
  3. K₂CO₃
  4. FePO₄
  5. Cu₂S

Required:

Calculate Molar Mass

Molar mass is the mass of a given substance divided by the amount of that substance, measured in g/mol.

For a compound, it is calculated by adding the molar mass of each element of the compound

1. HCl

This has 1 atom of Hydrogen and 1 atom of chlorine

The molar mass of HCl is calculated by adding the molar mass of Hydrogen and Chlorine

Molar Mass of HCl= Molar Mass of Hydrogen + Molar Mass of Chlorine

Molar Mass of Hydrogen =2.016 g/mol

Molar Mass of Chlorine = 35.45 g/mol

Molar Mass of HCl = 1 * 2.016 g/mol + 1 * 35.45 g/mol

Molar Mass of HCl = 37.466 g/mol

2. ZnF₂

This compound contains 1 atom of Zinc and 2 atom of Florine

Molar Mass of Zinc= 65.38 g/mol

Molar Mass of Florine = 18.998 g/mol

Molar Mass of ZnF₂ = 1 * 65.38 g/mol + 2 * 18.998 g/mol

Molar Mass of ZnF₂ = 65.38 g/mol + 37.996 g/mol

Molar Mass of ZnF₂ = 103.386 g/mol

3. K₂CO₃

This compound contains 2 atom of Potassium , 1 atom of Carbon and 3 atoms of Oxygen

Molar Mass of Potassium= 39.10 g/mol

Molar Mass of Carbon = 12.011 g/mol

Molar Mass of Oxygen = 16 g/mol

Molar Mass of K₂CO₃ = 2 * 39.10 g/mol + 1 * 12.011 g/mol + 3 * 16 g/mol

Molar Mass of K₂CO₃ = 78.20 g/mol + 12.011 g/mol + 48 g/mol

Molar Mass of K₂CO₃ = 138.211 g/mol

4. FePO₄

This compound contains 1 atom of Irom, 1 atom of Phosporus and 4 atoms of Oxygen

Molar Mass of Iron= 55.845 g/mol

Molar Mass of Phosporus = 123.88 g/mol

Molar Mass of Oxygen = 16 g/mol

Molar Mass of FePO₄ = 1 * 55.845 g/mol + 1 * 123.88 g/mol + 4 * 16 g/mol

Molar Mass of FePO₄ = 55.845 g/mol + 123.88 g/mol + 64 g/mol

Molar Mass of FePO₄ = 243.725 g/mol

5. Cu₂S

This compound contains 2 atom of Copper and 1 atom of Sulphur

Molar Mass of Iron= 63.546 g/mol

Molar Mass of Sulphur= 32.065 g/mol

Molar Mass of Cu₂S = 2 * 63.546 g/mol + 1 * 32.065 g/mol

Molar Mass of Cu₂S = 127.092 g/mol + 32.065 g/mol

Molar Mass of Cu₂S = 159.157 g/mol
