Length of the other leg, expressed in radical form is
4√(2)

Explanation:

We have Pythagoras theorem,

Hypotenuse² = Base² + Perpendicular²

Here we have

Hypotenuse = 9

Base = 7

Substituting

9² = 7² + Perpendicular²

Perpendicular² = 81 - 49

Perpendicular² = 32

\texttt{Perpendicular = }√(32)\\\\\texttt{Perpendicular = }√(16* 2)\\\\\texttt{Perpendicular = }4√(2)

Length of the other leg, expressed in radical form is
4√(2)
