Is (-4, 2) a solution of 4x + 5y <-7?

easy to find out...just a matter of subbing in what u know

(-4,2)...x = -4 and y = 2

4x + 5y < -7

4(-4) + 5(2) < -7

-16 + 10 < -7

-6 < -7 ......false....because -6 is not less then -7...it is greater

so no, (-4,2) is not a solution to this inequality

No bc 4(-4)+5(2)=-6 which is greater than -7
