The sale cost of Jersey is $ 60

Solution:

Given that, Jared wants to buy a hockey jersey

The cost of the jersey is normally $75.00

It is now on sale for 20 % off

To find: Sale cost of Jersey

Normal cost of Jersey = $ 75

Discount = 20 % of normal cost

Therefore, sale cost is given as:

Sale cost = normal cost - 20 % of normal cost

Sale cost = 75 - 20 % of 75

\rightarrow 75 - 20 \% * 75\\\\\rightarrow 75 - (20)/(100) * 75\\\\\rightarrow 75 - 0.2 * 75\\\\\rightarrow 75 - 15 = 60

Thus sale cost of Jersey is $ 60
