Hello!

The first step is to subtract 1 from both sides.

\bf{3x+1=38}

\bf{3x=37}

Now, divide both sides by 3:

\bf{\displaystyle(37)/(3) }

Can this fraction be simplified? Nope.

Why? Because 37 and 3 do not have any common factors, except 1 (and what's the point of dividing by 1?)

Hence, the answer is

\huge\boxed{\text{Answer:{\boxed{\circ\star{(37)/(3) }}}}}

Hope everything is clear.

Let me know if you have any questions!
