-5(4x - 2) = -2(3 + 6x)

Explanation:

First, you have to distribute the -5 to the inside of the first set of parenthesis. (This should give you -20x+10=-2(3+6x)) Then you do the same on the other side. ( it should be -20x+10=-6-12x) The you move all of the variables on one side and combine them. add the 20x to the negative 12x. This should give you 8x. Then you move -6 by adding it to the other side. you are then going to have 8x=16. Then you divide the number by the variable to get the answer

10+6 =-12x+20x
16=-32x
16/-32=-32x/-32
-1/2=x
