Homeostasis is a condition that resist the change in the internal environment. In the cell, this homeostasis is controlled by the plasma membrane of the cell. The plasma membrane of the cell is selectively permeable.

So as the plasma membrane is selectively permeable it allows only some substance to cross the cell and it also maintains the amount of substance that crosses the cell. Plasma membrane contains transporter proteins that selectively bind and transfer molecules.

This maintains the correct balance of solvent and solute in the cell so homeostasis is maintained in the cells.
