Answer:

Customer will save $23 on purchasing 2 pair of jeans on sale price.

Explanation:

Given:

Original Cost of 3 pair of jeans = $138

Sale price = 25% less

We need to find the amount save by customer on buying 2 pairs of jeans at sale price.

Solution:

First we will find the Original cost of each pair of jeans.

Now we know that;

3 pair of jeans = $138

1 pair of jeans = Original cost of each pair of jeans.

By Using Unitary method we get;

Original cost of each pair of jeans =
(138)/(3)= \$46

Now we will find amount of sale price on each pair of jeans.

Amount of sale price can be calculated by subtracting 25% of the original cost from original cost of the jeans.

Framing in equation form we get;

Amount of sale price of each pair of jeans =
46-(25)/(100)* 46 = 46 -11.5 = \$34.5

Original cost of 2 pair of jeans =
46* 2 = \$92

Sale price amount of 2 pair of jeans =
34.5* 2 = \$69

Now Amount saved by customer on 2 pair of jeans can be calculated by subtracting Sale price amount of 2 pair of jeans from Original cost of 2 pair of jeans.

framing in equation form we get;

Amount saved by customer = $92 - $69 = $23

Hence Customer will save $23 on purchasing 2 pair of jeans on sale price.
