Did I use the word "defoliated" correctly? ...." Trees become defoliated" if not how can I reword that so that it is correct

You did good but in my opinion, it sounds better if you say “trees defoliate” instead if “trees become defoliated.”

Answer:the definition of defoliate is to remove the leaves from a tree, plant, or area of landing. I’d say you did pretty good!
