a) The halfway number is
(-4.5)/(10).

b) The ascending order is
(-1)/(2),
(-4.5)/(10)and
(-2)/(5).

Explanation:

a)Halfway number is otherwise Middle number.

The halfway number of two numbers =
(sum of two numbers)/(2).

The halfway for
(-2)/(5) and
(-2)/(5) =
((-2)/(5)+ ((-1)/(2)))/(2).

=
(-2)/(5)+ ((-1)/(2)).

=
(-4-5)/(10).

=
(-9)/(10).

∴Halfway =
((-9)/(10) )/(2).

=
(-4.5)/(10)

The halfway for
(-2)/(5) and
(-1)/(2)=
(-4.5)/(10).

b) The ascending order is
(-1)/(2),
(-4.5)/(10)and
(-2)/(5).
