Ella is signing up for a gym membership with a one-time fee to join and then a monthly fee to remain a member. The monthly fee to be a member is $25 and the total cost of membership, including the joining fee, would be $200 for 4 months. Write an equation for

C
(
t
)
,
C(t), the total cost of the gym membership over
t
t months.

C(t)=4t($25)+$200
The reason we put a 4 before the t($25) is because with the $200 it states that that’s the price for 4 months, so we know that the time has to be by a factor of 4 because you have to pay the gym membership every 4 months.
